Medical Intelligence allows anyone who wishes to do so to contribute voluntarily to the project by providing selected clinical and demographic information anonymously.

Participation is entirely optional and is not required to use Medical Intelligence.

The aim is to collect information that, when considered together and in aggregate form, may help provide a better understanding of the characteristics and pathways represented by the people who choose to participate.

What information can be provided

A contribution may include information such as age range, country and region, characteristics of the breast cancer, whether it is metastatic, biological and receptor characteristics of the disease, affected sites, treatments received or currently being received, and other clinical information included in the contribution form.

You are not asked to provide your name, surname, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, tax identification number, medical-record number or other directly identifying information.

Why participate

Every person has a different pathway. Analysing information from multiple experiences in aggregate form may help reveal distributions, recurring patterns and possible relationships between disease characteristics, treatments and other clinical factors.

These observations may help identify topics that deserve further investigation through scientific sources and may help improve Medical Intelligence’s research and analysis tools over time.

Collected data are not scientific evidence

Information voluntarily provided by users remains clearly separate from evidence from clinical trials, scientific publications, guidelines and institutional sources.

The presence of a recurring pattern or correlation in data collected by Medical Intelligence does not demonstrate a clinical or causal relationship.

It may represent something worth observing and, where relevant, comparing with the available scientific literature.

Medical Intelligence therefore keeps voluntarily contributed user data, scientific evidence and document-search results separate.

Protecting anonymity

The system is designed to collect contributions without requesting directly identifying information and without creating a personal profile linked to the clinical data provided.

The information is used for statistical, analytical and project-knowledge purposes, while maintaining the fundamental principle that the contribution must not be used intentionally to reconstruct the identity of the person who provided it.

For this reason, general categories — such as age range or geographic area — are requested wherever possible instead of precise personal data.

A free choice

Participation is voluntary. Anyone who does not wish to provide this information can continue to use Medical Intelligence normally.

Participation does not change the scientific evidence displayed by the system, does not influence the assessment of sources and does not provide privileged or different results.

Contributing means choosing to make selected information about your experience available anonymously so that it can contribute to the growth of Medical Intelligence’s aggregate knowledge.
